workshops

Electronic Hammer is also interested in the education and promotion of percussion music as well as computer music performance and is available to deliver lectures on both subjects. Our combined experience focuses on composition, improvisation, programming and electronic instrument building.

computer programing
Special emphasis is made on easing the introduction into real-time audio processing software such as Max/MSP and SuperCollider. Both applications are explained in detail highlighting the different approaches for using them in compositions that combine acoustic instruments. Signal manipulation, synthesis and the ability to combine and sequence these are the main goals.

modern percussion techniques
With the advent of the percussion as a solo instrument it is important to be aware of the many ways this instrument can be assembled. The battery that a percussionist is able to perform will be introduced with respective examples of modern notation which will also reflect the inclusion of electroacoustic writing.

instrument building
Thru this avenue of electronic music it is possible to introduce students into building instruments that can be connected to the computer in order to control parameters of a program or patch created in a previous section of the workshop.
